영문 초록

One of the consensus opinions shared by most economic analysts is the fact that the level of fixed capital stock plays a very important role in constructing national economic plannings. But the level of fixed capital stock is unobservable, so that several methods for estimating that level are presented. This study proposes one new approach for estimating the level of fixed capital stock from the national income statistics, on the basis of H.B. Chenery’s investment function called the stock-adjustment principle. This paper is organized as the followings : (1) Introduction, (2) Model-building for estimating fixed capital stock, (3) Estimated results for capital stock of residential building in this country, and (4) Conclusion
