현장 교원과 연구촉진자의 상호협력적 실행연구를 통한 실외놀이 개선

국문 초록

본 연구는 충남의 한 공립 유치원에서 실외놀이의 활성화를 위하여 2015년 9월부터 1년 동안 진행된 실행연구이다. 유아들의 실외놀이를 활성화시키기 위하여 연구촉진자, 참여기관의 교원들이 양방향적인 상호협력을 통해 현장의 상황을 개선하기 위 해 노력하였다. 그 결과 교사들의 관심과 요구에 따라 세미나의 주제와 진행 방법 등의 측면에서 융통적으로 운영하였고, 실외놀이 개선과정에서 나타난 문제를 해결하기 위해 교원과 연구촉진자가 상호 노력하였으며, 질 높은 실외놀이를 위해 교원들은 환경을 개선하기 위해 자주적 노력을 하였다. 실행연구를 진행하면서 실외놀이가 상당한 발전을 이루었다. 즉, 연구 참여기관은 주변의 다양한 경관이 있는 자연 공간을 활용하고, 여러 가지 개방적 자원 및 재료를 활용함으로써 유아들의 실외놀이가 다양하고 풍부해졌다. 또한 실외놀이가 실내 활동과 연결되면서 유치원 교육과정과 연계되었고, 교사들은 유아에게 주도권을 주어 실외놀이가 좀 더 질적인 발전을 이루었다. 그러나 실행연구 기간 동안 교사들은 실외놀이에서 유아의 주도적 참여로 인해 야기되는 안전사고에 관한 문제로 갈등하였다.

영문 초록

This study reports an action research which was implemented in a public kindergarten in order to improve the quality of outdoor play for a year. Research facilitators and teachers cooperated for quality outdoor play in flexible and bi-directional ways. That is, the themes and management of seminars directed by research facilitators were decided according to the needs and interests of teachers. Teachers and research facilitators collaborated to solve problems which they encountered in the process of the action research and teachers also tried to improve their outdoor environment independently. There was improvement in children’s outdoor play in many aspects but teachers experienced conflicts during this action research. Specifically, They utilizednnatural spaces with various landscapes nearby and open-ended resources and materials, thereby leading to a variety of affluent play. The outdoor play was connected with indoor activities and the curriculum. Further, children were allowed more initiatives outdoors, as a result the play became more qualitative. However, teachers experience conflicts about the degree of independence given to children due to an accident.
