ARCS 동기전략을 활용한 대학 신입생 대학생활적응 교양교과목 개발

국문 초록

본 연구는 ARCS 동기전략을 활용한 대학 신입생 대학생활 적응 교과목을 개발하고 효과를 분석하였다. 충청 소재 A대학교 신입생을 대상으로 학습자 분석을 통해 자기효능감 및 진로태도성숙 향상을 수업목표로 하고, ARCS 동기전략을 적용한 프로그램을 설계하여 2017년 1학기 간 실시하였다. 교과목 수강 여부에 따른 실험집단 (N=102)과 비교집단(N=97)의 자기효능감 및 진로태도성숙 사전-사후 변화 차이를 t 검증하고, 실험집단의 학습동기 수준과 내용을 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 교과목을 수강한 실험집단이 통제집단에 비해 자기효능감과 진로태도성숙 수준이 유의미하게 향상하였다. 둘째, 수강생의 학습동기 수준은 관련성, 만족감, 자신감, 주의집중의 순으로 나타났다. 수강생들은 ‘나에 대한 이해가 깊어짐, 대학생활에 의미부여, 학교 적응에 도움’ 등으로 관련성을, ‘교수의 긍정적 피드백 노력, 활동의 즐거움, 공정한 평 가’ 등으로 만족감을, ‘나에 대한 재발견, 성취감, 과제활동 조절’ 등으로 자신감을, ‘재미있는 강의자료, 흥미로운 수업방법, 매력적인 과제’ 등으로 주의집중 요인을 표현하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 신입생 대학생활적응 교과목 학습동기를 촉진하기 위한 교수-학습법의 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of ARCS motivation strategy-based freshmen college adaptation course on self-efficacy, Career attitude maturity and learning motivation. After treatment on semester, compared the difference of pre-post change of the self-efficacy and career attitude maturity of experimental group(N=102) was taken the course and control group(N=97) was not. And analyzed the learning motivation level of the experimental group, examined the contents of the learning motives perceived by the students through the class participation. Results of this study were followed. First, the self-efficacy and career attitude maturity level of the experimental group was significantly improved compared to the control group. Second, the Students motivation levels were in order of relevance, satisfaction, confidence, and attention. Students perceived relevance through deep understanding of me, meaning in college life, help in school adaptation , satisfaction through positive feedback from professor, pleasure of activity, fair evaluation , confidence through Rediscovery of me, sense of accomplishment, control of task activity , and attention through interesting lecture materials, interesting teaching methods, and attractive tasks . Based on these results, the implications of the teaching and learning for promoting learning motivation of freshmen in college adaptation course were discussed.
