국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 지체중복장애 자녀를 둔 어머니들의 양육 경험을 통해 자녀 양육에 어떠한 지원이 필요한지 알아보고 효과적인 지원 방안에 대하여 제안하는 것이다. 연구 참여자는 지체중복 장애 자녀를 둔 어머니 9인이고, 자료 수집은 5회의 개별면담과 4인 대상의 포커스그룹 면담 1회, 총 6회기로 구성된 심층면담을 통해 이루어졌으며 회기 당 면담시간은 1시간에서 2시간이었다. 연구결과, 3개의 대주제와 30개의 하위주제가 도출되었다: 1) 지체중복장애 자녀 양육에 영향을 미치는 긍정적 요인, 2) 지체중복장애 자녀 양육에 영향을 미치는 부정적 요인, 3) 지체중복장애 자녀의 교육과 양육을 위한 지원 요구. 본 연구결과를 토대로 지체중복장애학생과 가족을 위한 바람직한 정책 방향을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate mothers’ rearing experiences of children with physical and multiple disabilities, and to search for ways to support children with physical and multiple disabilities. A total of nine mothers of children with physical and multiple disabilities participated in this study using a purposive sampling. The research design consisted of six in-depth interview sessions including individual interviews of five participants and focus group interviews for four participants in consideration of the participants’ schedule. The interview time per session was 1-2 hours. The results presented the mothers’ rearing experiences (both positive and negative factors) about children with physical and multiple disabilities, current practices, and requirements to support children with physical and multiple disabilities. Based on these results, suggestions to facilitate the quality of education, rearing, and care for children with physical and multiple disabilities were discussed.
