바다유치원 교사가 경험한 ‘수업장학의 날’의 의미

국문 초록

본 연구는 누리과정 컨설팅 장학에서 교사 행동 수정과 수업의 질, 상호작용 개선, 교사의 개인적 성장력 도모 이전에 인간이 먼저라야 한다는 것을 드러냄으로써 컨설턴트와 교사의 수평적 관계 형성을 위한 가능성을 논의하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 컨설팅 장학의 일환인 ‘수업장학의 날’ 수업을 공개하기 위해 유치원 교사는 무엇을 경험하게 되는지, 컨설턴트와는 어떠한 관계를 맺는지를 2016년 3월 9일부터 8월 20일까지 참여관찰과 연구참여자와의 심층면담을 통해 수집된 자료를 분석하여 그 의미를 도출하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 연구참여자는 자신의 전문성 신장을 위해 수업장학의 날에 적극적으로 참여하였으나 그 이면에는 좋은 평가를 받기 위해 일상적인 모습과는 다른 왜곡되고 비현실적인 수업이 이루어졌다. 둘째, 컨설턴트와 L교사 (연구참여자)는 성인인 자신들이 우위에 있다는 관점을 취하며 유아들을 타자화시킴으로써 상하수직적인 관계를 형성하고 있었다. 셋째, 컨설팅 장학의 취지와는 다르게 컨설턴트와 교사와의 동등한 관계에서 이루어지는 의사소통은 이루어지지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 처방적인 성격의 도구적·기술적 장학에서 벗어나 컨설턴트와 교사의 수평적 관계 형성을 통해 합리적인 의사소통이 일어날 때 진정한 컨설팅 장학으로서 의미가 있음을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to discuss about the possibility for forming horizontal relations between consultant and teacher by showing that human is the first before teacher behavior revision, class quality and interaction improvement, and teacher’s individual growth promotion in nuri process consulting encouragement of learning. To achieve it, this researcher analyzed materials collected by participating observation of Mar. 09~Aug. 20, 2016 and in-depth interview with participants in relation to what kindergarten teachers experience and which relation they make with consultant so as to open the class of ‘Day of Encouragement of Learing class’ as a part of consulting encouragement and drew the meaning. First, the researchers actively participated in the day of encouragement of learning class in order to enhance their professionalism. Second, the consultant and the L-teacher was forming a vertical relationship by treating the infants as others by taking the view that they are adults and superior. Third, unlike the purpose of consulting encouragement of learning, it was found that communication was not achieved in the equal relationship between consultant and teacher. Based on the results, authentic consulting encouragement of learning is meaningful when there is rational communication through the horizontal relations between consultant and teacher by getting out of the tool·technical encouragement of prescriptive characteristics.
