초등학교 6학년 쌓기나무 단원에서의 공간추론 지도 방안 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 6학년 쌓기나무 단원에서의 공간추론을 효과적으로 지도하기 위한 방안을 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2015년 10～11월 중에 미국 Mathematicsin Context(MiC) 교과서를 활용하여 수업안을 마련하고 쌓기나무 단원을 학습하는 과정에서 어려움을 겪은 164명의 6학년 학생들을 대상으로 6차시의 공간추론 수업과 평가를 실시한 후 수업 과정에서 나타난 학생들의 반응과 평가 결과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 공간추론 수업에서 학생들은 공간추론 과제들을 교과서 수업에서 보다 더 수월하게 해결하였으며, 평가 결과에서도 더 높은 정답률을 나타내었다. 분석결과를 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 쌓기나무 단원에서의 효과적인 공간추론 지도 방안으로 일반 사물을 공간추론 대상으로 활용, 대상을 바라보는 방향의 범위를 단계적으로 적용, 밑그림 없는 쌓기나무로 만든 모양을 활용, 공간추론 과정을 순차적으로 지도, 연결큐브의 활용을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study is research on teaching method for spatial reasoning in building–block lessons for 6th Graders. In order to attain these purposes, this study prepared lesson plans for teaching spatial reasoning using ‘Mathematics in Context(MiC)’, and conducted mathematics lessons and evaluated on 6th graders, and then analyzed the reaction of students in lessons and evaluation results. Analytical results are as follows: Students were able to solve the task of spatial reasoning more easily, which they had difficult in their textbook lessons and also the results of the evaluation showed a higher correct rate. In the light of analytical results, this study provided suggestions for effective teaching method for spatial reasoning in building– block lessons for 6th graders as follows: Using of common objects as a subject of spatial reasoning, phasing the range of views in looking the objects, using of projection of building–blocks without the figure viewed from above, sequential teaching the process of spatial reasoning on invisible parts, using uni-cubes as teaching material.
