점토미술활동이 유아의 정서지능 및 또래유능성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 점토를 활용한 미술활동이 유아의 정서지능과 또래유능성 향상에 어떠한 효과를 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 A시에 위치한 실험집단 B병설 유치원 원아 17명과 인근 비교집단 C병설유치원의 원아 19명이다. 2016년 3월 28일 부터 2016년 7월 1일까지 주1~2회씩 총 12회에 걸쳐 실험집단에는 12회기의 점토를 활용한 미술활동을 적용하였으며, 비교집단에는 생활주제별 미술활동을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 점토를 활용한 미술활동은 유아의 정 서지능 전체총점과 4개 하위요인인 자기정서인식과 자기정서조절, 타인정서인식과 타인정서조절에서 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 점토를 활용한 미술활동은 유아의 또래유능성의 6개 하위요인 중 친사회성과 비사교성, 불안정성, 과민성 총 4개 요인에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 공격성과 배척성 2개 요인에서는 효과가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 점토를 활용한 미술활동은 유아의 정서지능과 또래유능성 향상에 효과가 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the art activity using clay on the development of young children’s emotional intelligence and peer competence. The subjects of this study were 36 young children at age 5 from two public kindergartens, which were located in A city. They have been divided equally into two groups, experimental and control. The data were analyzed with ANCOVA using SPSS program. The result of this study were follows: First, the art activity using clay improved young children’s emotional intelligence. Second, the art activity using clay improved young children’s peer competence. In conclusion, the art activity using clay was effective for enhancing the development of young children’s emotional intelligence and peer competence.
