초·중학교 학부모의 학부모회 인지도 및 참여 관련요인 분석

국문 초록

최근 학교현장에서는 창의체험활동 증가, 자유학기제 운영, 교육자치 강조 등으로 인해 학부모 학교참여의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 학부모 학교참여의 중심 조직인 학부모회에 대한 학부모의 인지도와 참여 관련요인을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울대학교 학부모정책연구센터에서 2017년 11월 수집한 설문조사 자료를 사용하여 초·중학교 학부모 666명을 대상으로 이항로짓모형 분석을 실시하였다. 초등학교와 중학교로 모형을 구분하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학부모회 인지도는 초·중학교 학부모 모두 약 87%로 나타났으며, 학부모회 참여율은 초등학교가 약 19%, 중학교가 약 12%로 나타났다. 둘째, 초등학교 학부모는 부모성별과 맞벌이 여부가, 중학교 학부모는 부모성별만이 학부모회 인지도와 관련이 있었다. 셋째, 초등학교 학부모는 학교 유형만이 학부모회 참여와 관련이 있었으며, 중학교 학부모는 관련요인이 없었다. 본 연구는 학부모회에 대한 학부모의 인지도와 참여 관련요인을 파악하고 학부모회 활성화 방안을 도출하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the factors related to parent awareness and participation with parent association (PA) in elementary and middle school. 666 elementary and middle school parents were included in the analysis and binary logit model analysis was used to verify the research questions. The results of the analysis showed that gender of parent and employment status of mother were related to parent awareness with PA in elementary school. And in the case of middle school, only gender of parent was found to be significantly related to awareness of PA. Participation in PA was related only to school type in elementary school parents, but there was no relevant factor in middle school parents. This study has significance in that it suggests ways to revitalize the PA by identifying the factors related to parent awareness and participation with PA.
