최승자 시에 반영된 부정적 언술과 실존의식

국문 초록

이 논문은 최승자 시에서 반영되고 있는 부정적 언술과 실존의식을 분석하였다. 그리고 그녀의 시는 전통적인 서정을 파괴하는 부정적 언술과 자기비하를 통해서 암울하고 우울했던 1970～80년대의 사회적 현실을 반영하고 있다. 그와 동시에 그 시대를 지배하고 있던 부권과 함께 기존의 보편적 개념에 대한 본질을 부정한다. 이러한 최승자 시에서 반영되고 있는 실존의식은 보편적 개념에 대한 본질로부터 벗어남에 있다. 이것을 달리 표현하면 평온함과 안락함을 제공하고 있던 ‘집’으로부터 벗어남을 뜻한다. 하지만 그녀에게 있어 ‘집’으로부터 벗어난다는 것은 전통적인 서정을 벗어나 새로운 서정을 추구하고 있음을 의미한다. 전통적인 서정을 벗어나 새로운 서정을 추구하고 있는 시에서 확인할수 있는 것은 실존의식이다. 이러한 실존의식은 사르트르가 주장한 실존 주의로 천착해 볼 수 있다. 실존주의는 그 어떤 것에 의해서도 의미가 부여될 수 없다. 그와 동시에 오직 존재하고 있다는 것과 함께 어떤 것에 의해서도 평온함과 안락함을 의지할 수 없게 된, 한 개인의 고독한 현존상태에 있는 존재 그 자체를 깨닫게 된다. 그녀는 이러한 점을 뚜렷 하게 의식하고 있었다. 그로 인해 최승자 시에서 반영되고 있는 부정적 언술과 자기비하에는 주체적인 자아가 의식하고 있는 그 시대의 사회적 현실인식과 함께 전통적인 서정을 벗어나 새로운 서정을 추구하고자 하는 실존의식을 반영한다. 필자는 이 점에 대한 연구를 하였다.

영문 초록

This paper analyzed the negative discourse and consciousness of existence in poems by Choi, Seung-Ja. And her poems reflect the gloomy and depressed social reality in the 1970-1980s through self-depreciation and negative discourse that destroy the traditional lyricism. At the same time, her poems deny not only the paternity dominating the time, but also the essence of the existing universal concepts. The consciousness of existence shown in her poems is to get out of the essence of the existing universal concepts. In other words, it means getting out of ‘house’ that has provided peace and comfort. However, to her, getting out of ‘house’ providing peace and comfort means the pursuit of a new lyricism after getting out of the traditional lyricism. The poems pursuing a new lyricism after getting out of the traditional lyricism show the consciousness of existence that could be understood from the existentialism argued by Sartre. Regarding the existentialism, the existence of an individual in the current lonely state where no meanings could be given by any thing and nothing can be depended on for peace and comfort, is realized. She was clearly aware of it. Therefore, the negative discourse and self-depreciation shown in poems by Choi, Seung-Ja reflect the consciousness of social reality of the time, perceived by an independent ego, and also the consciousness of existence pursuing the new lyricism after getting out of the traditional lyricism, which has been researched by the writer.
