인성 구성요인 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 인성의 구성요인을 분석하고 인성교육의 시사점을 제시하는 데있다. 이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 학회지 논문 67편, 교육기관 10곳, 초점집단 면담 15명을 통하여 인성의 구성요인을 추출하였다. 그 결과 전체 인성 구성요인은 모두 67개로 추출되었다. 이 중 5개 이상 중복된 인성구성요인을 가장 많이 추출된 순으로 살펴보면, 배려(20), 책임감(19), 협력(15), 정직(15), 존중(13), 정의(13), 근면성실(12), 예절(12), 시민정신(9), 절제(8), 준법정신(8), 공감(8), 자기통제(6), 자기 조절(6), 효(6), 용기(5), 친절(5), 공정성(5), 애국심(5)으로 나타났다. 개인적 차원의 경우 내면적 자아와 관련된 인성 구성요인으로 절제(8), 자율성(8), 자기통제(6), 자기조절(6)이 있고, 외연적 자아와 관련된 구성요인으로는 정직(15), 근면·성실(12), 용기(5)가 있다. 사회적 차원에서 살펴보면 대인차원과 관련된 구성요인으로는 배려 (20), 존중(13), 공감(8), 효(6), 친절(5)이 있고, 공동체 차원과 관련된 구성요인으로는 책임감(19), 협력(15), 정의(13), 예절(12), 시민정신(9), 준법정신(8), 공정성(5)이 있으며, 민족차원과 관련된 구성요인으로는 애국심(5)이 있다. 연구결과 시사점은 인성교육을 통해 육성하고자 하는 인성교육의 핵심 덕목을 선정하고 학교 공동체 구성 원들이 핵심 덕목을 승인하는 것이 중요하다. 이를 위하여 인성 구성요인 분석에 대한 경험적 타당화 작업이 필요하다. 본 논문에서 제시한 인성구성요인들에 대하여 학교 현장 교사들은 어떻게 생각하는지 경험적인 연구를 해 볼 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine factors for the personality formation and present implication thereof. In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, we extracted constituents of personality through 67 articles, 10 educational institutions, and 15 focus group interviews. As a result, there were 67 factors for the personality formation as a whole, among which the most overlapped (more than 5 times) factors were in order of frequency consideration (20), responsibility (19), cooperation (15), honesty (15), respect (13), justice (13), diligence (12), etiquette (12), civic spirit (9), self-restraint (8), law-abiding spirit (8), sympathy (8), self-control (6), self-regulation (6), filial piety (5), courage (5), kindness (5), fairness (5), and patriotism (5). At the personal level, the factors related the inner ego are self-restraint (8), autonomy (8), self-control (6), and self-regulation (6), while those related to the explicit ego are honesty (15), diligence (12), and courage (5). At the social level, the factors related to the personal relationships are consideration (20), respect (13), sympathy (8), filial piety (5), and kindness (5), while those related to the communal level are responsibility (19), cooperation (15), justice (13), etiquette (12), civic spirit (9), law-abiding spirit (8), and fairness (5) and those related to the ethnic level is patriotism (5). The result of this study implies that it is important to select the key virtue of the education on good personality to be developed by education on personality development and approve the key virtue of members of school community. To this end, It is necessary to carry on the empirical validation of the analysis of factors for the personality formation. Empirical research is needed on how school teachers think about these factors for the personality formation presented herein.
