In order to survey the prevalence of intestinal parasites in dogs, we investigated the 245 feces of dogs by use of sedimentation method and floatation technique with saturated sodium salts. 99 samples(40.4%) of them were infected with parasite eggs. The infectious rate of Ancylostoma caninum were 17.1%, Trichuris vulpis, 16.7%, Toxocara canis, 8.2%, Isospora canis, 3.3% and Toxascaris leonina, 2.0%, respectively. The infectious rate of female(58.3%) dogs was higher than that of male(48.4%). The infectious rate in younger dogs was higher than that of older dogs, especially that of the dogs under 2.5 month-old was 100%, 2.5 month to 1 year-old, 66.7%, 1 to 6 year-old, 54.1%, and over 6 year-old, 42.9%. The infectious rates of T. canis(9.4%), T. leonina(5.7%), A. caninum(34%), I. canis (11.3%) and trematodes(5.7%) in pet and individually-raised dogs were higher than those in group raised dogs. But, the infectious rate of T. vulpis(18.2) in group raised dogs was higher than that in pet and individually-raised dogs. The parasites of dogs are usually zoonotic, especially Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Ancylostoma caninum, Trichuris vulpis. So that, the dogs might be taken care sanitarily and treated with anti-parasitic drugs periodically. After we periodically administer anti-parasitic drugs, we must regularly examine the feces of them.
