영문 초록

This study was undertaken to investigate whether both Bupleurum falcatum(B. falcatum) and soshihotang have anti- or mutagenicity by Ames test. As a result of the cytotoxicity assay, the optimum concentration of B. falcatum for TA 100 and TA 98 were below 100mg /plate. Both extracts decreased the mutagenicity of two mutagens, benzopyrene and AFB1, for these bacterial strains in preincubation method, but had no effects both mutagens in direct method. And then, these extracts did not show the mutagenicity regardless of S9 mixtrue.
