영문 초록

Folpet, a fungicide with widespread application in agriculture in Korea, was examined for mutagenicity by Ames’ test using Salmonella typhimurium mutants(TA100, TA98, TA1535 and TA 1537). Folpet caused mutagenicity for all 4 strains without addition of S-9 mix and mutagenic activity was generally reduced by the S-9 mix. Mutagenic activity of the folpet was observed from a dose of 5㎍/plate concentration for TA1537, TA98 and TA100 strains, and 10㎍/plate for TA 1535, respectively. Toxic activity of the folpet was observed from a dose of 100㎍/plate for all Salmonella typhimurium strains.
