영문 초록
Forty three strains of Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae were isolated from the blood of heart and the articular synovia of 487 slaughterd pigs in the area of Kangwon-Do. The biochemical properties, serotypes, antimircobial drug susceptibility and sero antibody titers were investigated.
The results obtained are summarized as follows;
1. The biochemical properties revealed a degree of uniformity that can be expected with this group bacteria.
2. Among these 43 strains, 2 strains belong to serotype la, 5 strains to 1b, 24 strains to 2,2 strains to 12, respectively and 4 strains were untypable.
3. In the test of antimicrobial drug susceptibility, these bacteria were sensitive to penicillin and chloramphenicol(95.3%), ampicillin(93%) and tetracycline(90.7%).
4. In the test of sero antibody titer, the agglutinated rate on less than 16 fold in sera were shown 69.5%(119/171 pigs).
