국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 교사의 다문화민감성이 다문화교육역량에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고 다문화민감성과 다문화교육역량과의 관계에서 교원학습문화의 조절효과를 탐색해 보기 위해, 교사의 다문화교육역량에 대한 다문화민감성의 영향을 알아보고 교사의 다문화민감성과 다문화교육역량과의 관계에서 교원학습문화의 조절효과가 어떠한지에 대해 구명하고자 하였다. 연구를 위해 경기지역에 재직하고 있는 초등학교 교사경력 3년 이상의 교사 221명을 대상으로 설문조사를 통한 조사연구방법을 채 택하였다. 연구의 타당성과 객관성을 확보하기 위해 연구에 적용할 측정도구를대학원 이상의 학력과 3년 이상의 교사경력을 가진 현직 초등교사 2인에게 1차 예비조사를 거쳐 본 조사를 실시하였다. 분석된 연구결과, 다문화교육역량은 다문화 민감성 의 모든 하위요인인 상호작용 참여, 문화차이 존중, 상호작용 자신감에 의해 통계적으로 의미있는 영향을 줌으로써 다문화민감성을 지닌 교사는 타문화에 대한 지식습득과 교육현장에 적용할 수 있는 역량을 보유하게 되어 타문화권학생들의 지도역량 이 충분하다는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 다문화민감성이 다문화교육역량에 미치는 영향에서 교원학습문화의 조절효과를 살펴본 결과 조절변수로써 작용하고 있음이 검증되었다. 이러한 결과는 초등교사의 교원학습문화의 수준이 높을수록 다문화민감 성을 증진시켜 다문화교육역량을 제고시키고 있음을 의미한다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 초등교사의 다문화민감성과 다문화교육역량을 높이기 위해 무엇보다 교사들이 올바른 신념과 자질을 갖추고 학습자들을 지도하는 것이 관건이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of elementary teachers intercultural sensitivity on the multicultural education competence and to examine the moderating effects of teachers’ learning culture. The subjects of this study were 221 elementary teachers with teaching experience of more than 3 years experience in elementary education institutions in Gyeonggi. region. The research data were measured by the questionnaire of elementary teacher s intercultural sensitivity, teachers’ learning culture, multicultural education competence. The collected data were subjected to correlation analysis, hierarchical regression analysis, and main effect analysis. According to the results of the study, the interaction between the intercultural sensitivity of elementary teachers and the multicultural education competence was significant. This implies that teachers’ learning culture has a moderating effect on the relationship between intercultural sensitivity and multicultural education competence. In addition, among the sub-variables of multicultural education competence, multicultural teaching competence and emotional supporting competence were shown moderating effects of teachers’ learning culture . However, they did not show the interaction effect in the multicultural parent consultation competence. These results show that multicultural education competence of the teacher who has a high sense of teachers’ learning culture has a high Moderating effect on multicultural teaching competence and emotional supporting competence due to intercultural sensitivity.
