어린이집 원장의 배경변인과 변혁적 리더십이 보육 직무 중요도 인식에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 서울과 인천 및 경기도에 소재하고 있는 어린이집 원장 110명을 대상으로 하여 보육 직무 중요도에 대한 인식이 어떠한지, 원장의 배경변인에 따라 보육 직무 중요도 인식에 차이가 있는지, 그리고 원장의 변혁적 리더십이 보육 직무 중요도 인식에 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 보육 직무 중요도를 측정하기 위해 NCS 보육 직무의 능력단위와 요소에 대해 중요도를 평가하게 하였으며, 변혁적 리더십을 파악하는 도구로는 Hsue(1997)가 개발하여 김태선(2009)이 수정한 질문지를 사용하였다. 2015년 3～5월에 자료를 수집하였으며, 기초통계치 외에 일원분산분석과 LSD 사후분석 및 Pearson의 상관관계 분석과 중다회귀분석을 사용하였다. 연구 결과를 살펴보면, 첫째, 어린이집 원장은 보육교사의 직무 중 언어 수과학활동 지도, 영유아 건강 안전 영양 지도, 신체 예술활동 지도, 보육활동 운영이 중요하다고 인식하였다. 둘째, 원장의 연령과 경력이 낮을수록, 학력이 높을수록 보육교사의 직무를 중요하게 인식하였다. 셋째, 원장의 개인변인과 변혁적 리더십 하위요인이 보육 교사의 직무 중요도 인식에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구는 보육교사의 직무 중요 도에 대한 원장의 인식과 이에 영향을 미치는 리더십 요인을 파악하여 교사의 직무 수행 능력을 높이고 보육의 질적 수준을 향상시키는 데 도움을 주고자 한다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study were to examine the child care institution directors’ perceptions of the importance of National Competency Standards (NCS) in child care, and to find out the effects of directors’ variables and leaderships on the importance of NCS in child care. The subjects were 110 directors in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi province. The instruments were the NCS questionnaire and the leadership questionnaire developed by Hsue(1997) and Kim(2009). The data were analyzed using One way ANOVA, LSD post hoc, Pearson’s correlation and multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows: First, directors’ perceptions in the importances of NCS were relatively high. Second, directors’ perceptions of NCS were significantly different according to their ages, careers, and educations. Third, there were significant correlations between the directors’ leadership factors and the directors’ perceptions in the importances of NCS. And directors’ variables and the leadership factors influenced the perceptions of the importance of NCS in child care. This study will help to improve the quality of child care.
