영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to determine the relation slip between body image and mental health of female college students. For the purpose of the study, mental health was observed 9 symptom dimensions; Somatization (SOM), Obsessive-Compulsive (0-C), Interpersonal-Sensitivity (I-S), Depression (DEM), Anxiety (ANC), Hostility (HOS), Phobic-Anxiety (PHOB), Paranoid-Ideation (PAR), and Psychiticism (PSY). The subjects, chosen by random sampling, were 288 female college students. Statistical techniques to analyze the data were t-test. On the basis of the analyzed data the following conclusions were drawn. First, as to body image, somatization, interpersonal-sensitivity, depression, anxiety and psychoticism were significantly connected with the mental health. Second, as to body image, obsessive-compulsive, hostility. phobic-anxiety and paranoid-ideation were no significantly connected with the mental health.
