영문 초록

Tea culture begun in the East began to be introduced to Europe through trades with Netherlands in the 17th century. As culture of the 17th century has formed a lot of networks with maritime expansion, ruling by imperialists was the chance to introduce tea into the West with spices exploited from the colony, silk, jewel and precious metals from several regions of Asia including India through the Age of Discovery. Therefore, this study is to examine the process from the influx of tea to its settlement as taste beverage for Europeans through maritime expansion in Portugal,Espana and Netherlands, explorers activities and their literatures.
