In an experiment carried out for enhancing the efficiency of foundation seed production of ‘Wongyo 108’, a F₁ hydrid radish cultivar suitable for summer culture in plain area, the amount of seed production from 25-parental line through the flower pollination by bees was 21.6 ㎖ per plant. This was considered as much more effective method compared with the bud pollination, CO₂ and NaCl treatments and electric shock method. Meanwhile, the amount of seed production from 27-parental line by 6% CO₂ treatment was 26.7 ㎖ per plant, which was the highest one among treaments. The higher efficiency of seed production in 25-parental line by flower pollination treatment seemed to be caused from old-flower fertilization.
