고등학교 도덕과 교육과정에 나타난 전통 가치의 수용 양상

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 도덕과 교육과정의 역사에서 엿볼 수 있는 ‘전통 가치’의 수용양상을 통시적으로 밝히는 데 있다. ① 이 목적을 위해 본 연구에서는, 먼저 도덕과 교육과정의 역사에서 나타나는 몇 가지 특이점들에 대해 살펴보았다. 도덕과 교육의 출발 시기를 ‘근대계몽기’로 앞당겼고, 도덕과 교육의 내용 구성 원리가 『2007 도덕과 교육과정』을 전후로 ‘생활영역 확대법’에서 ‘가치관계 확장법’으로 전환되었음을 살펴보았으며, 도덕과 제반 과목의 체제와 위계가 『2007 도덕과 교육과정』 이후 어떻게 변화되었는지에 대해서 언급하였다. ② 다음으로 본 연구에서는, 네 시기의 고등학교 도덕과 교육과정에 나타난 전통 가치의 수용 양상과 의미에 대해 고찰하였다. 먼저 ‘근대계몽기’의 수신교육에서는 전통적 가치와 근대적 가치를 아우르면서 당시의 국내 정세를 타개하기 위해 변혁을 꾀하였다. 이어서 『제3차 국민윤리과 교육과정 』에서는 전통 가치를 수용함에 있어 변질과 왜곡이 이루어졌다. 그리고 『2007 도덕과 교육과정』 에서는 전통 가치를 새롭게 조명하였다. 끝으로『2015 도덕과 교육과정』 에서 행해질 고등학교 도덕과 교육에서는 전통 가치를 수용함에 있어 성찰의 기회와 재해석의 가능성을 열었다.

영문 초록

The objective of this study is to diachronically reveal the aspect of accepting traditional values shown in the history of moral subject curriculum. For this objective, first, this study examined several singularities shown in the history of moral subject curriculum. First, the starting point of moral subject education was moved up to the ‘modern enlightenment period’. Second, the change in the principle of arranging content elements of moral subject education from ‘extension of living area’ to ‘expansion of value relation’ was examined. Third, the change in the system and hierarchy of moral subject-related subjects was mentioned. Next, this study considered the aspect and meaning of accepting traditional values shown in four moral subject curriculums of high school. First, in the ‘modern enlightenment period’, a revolution was attempted to overcome the chaotic domestic situations of the time by embracing the traditional and modern values. Next, in the 『 3rd National Ethics Subject Curriculum』, there were transmutation and distortion in the acceptance of traditional values. And in the 『7th Moral Subject Curriculum』, the traditional values were newly illuminated. Lastly, in the 『2015 Moral Subject Curriculum』, the opportunity of introspection and the possibility of reinterpretation in the acceptance of traditional values were opened.
