학업성취도와 자기효능감 간의 종단적 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 국어 학업성취도, 수학 학업성취도, 국어 자기효능감, 수학 자기효능감간의 종단적 관계가 어떠한지 자기회귀교차지연 모형을 적용하여 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 한국교육개발원의 패널 자료인 KELS (Korean Education Longitudinal Study)를 활용하였으며, 표집된 총 6886명 중학생들의 1학년부터 3학년까지 3차례(2005년부터 2007년) 반복측정된 자료를 사용하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 동일 교과 내에서는 국어와 수학 교과의 학업성취도와 자기효능감 간 에 정적인 상보적 인과관계로 나타났다. 즉, 동일 교과 내에서는 이전 연도의 학업성취도가 다음 연도의 자기효능감에 정적인 영향을 주고, 이전 연도의 자기효능감은 다음 연도의 학업성취도에 정적인 영향을 주는 관계로 나타났다. 둘째, 교차 교과 간 에는 학업성취도와 자기효능감 간에 부적인 영향 관계가 나타났지만 수학 효능감이 국어 성취도에 주는 영향은 예외적으로 정적인 영향 관계로 나타났다. 즉, 이전 연도의 국어 학업성취도는 다음 연도의 수학 자기효능감에 부적인 영향을, 이전 연도의 국어 자기효능감은 다음 연도의 수학 성취도에 부적인 영향을, 이전 연도의 수학 성취도는 다음 연도의 국어 자아효능감에 부적인 영향을 주는 관계로 나타났지만 이전 연도의 수학 자아효능감은 다음 연도의 국어 성취도에 정적인 영향 관계를 주는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 교육 현장에서의 시사점을 논하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine longitudinal relationships between Korean and Math achievement and Korean and Math self-efficacy among Korean middle school students using autoregressive cross-lagged model analysis. For the purpose, this study used KELS (Korean Education Longitudinal Study) that includes 6886 middle school students whose Korean and Math scores and self-efficacy variables were measured 3 times repeatedly in each year. As a result, we found the followings: The longitudinal relationship between academic achievement and self-efficacy was mutually influenced each other, i.e., mutual positive relationship within the same discipline. Whereas, over the whole, the longitudinal relationship between the two variables was mutually negative influenced each other, I. e., mutual negative relationship between different discipline. However, Math self-efficacy on Korean achievement was positively influenced. Implications were discussed based on the results.
