This study was carried out to elucidate the effects of varieties and locations on the variation of seed weight in peanuts. Six botanical type of peanuts grown at four locations, were investigated of their seed weight.
Seed weight of peanuts was significantly different among locations. Mean of seed weight at Taegu was the lowest while it was highest at Jeju except Yeonghotangkong and Chico. Almost all varieties showed normal distribution in seed weight at all locations, but frequency distribution of seed weight of Tainan 10 showed significant skewness and of Sinpungtangkong and Oltangkong showed low kurtosis at Jeju.
