국문 초록

음악교육은 예술교육에서 핵심적인 역할을 한다. 학교 음악교육은 음악교과의 본질적 가치를 재확인하고 인간 교육적 가치에 근거한 예술교과로서의 역할을 담당하여야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 음악교육을 통한 인간 교육적 가치 가운데 학교폭력 감소 및 예방에 도움이 되는 가치들을 살펴보고, 학생들로 하여금 이를 자연스럽게 습득하게 하고 개인의 인성을 함양하기 위한 음악 프로그램을 개발하는 데 있다. 프로그램 개발을 위해 학교폭력 감소 및 예방 프로그램 관련 초․중․고등학교 교사 및 학생들의 인식 분석 연구가 선행되었다. 음악 프로그램은 합창, 뮤지컬, 음악동화, 난타 중심의 네 가지 음악 활동으로 개발되었으며 각각의 활동은 ‘나 - 너와 나 - 우리 - 다함께’로 음악 활동의 주체가 개인, 소그룹, 대그룹으로 점차 확장되는 구성 방식에 따른다. 음악 프로그램은 정서 안정, 자신감 및 자아존중감 향상, 공감/소통 능력 및 배려심 함양, 공동체 의식 형성 등 학생들의 정서적․사회적 측면의 발달을 도모하여 학교폭력을 감소시키고 안전하고 즐거운 학교 문화가 정착되는 데 일조할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 또한 개발된 음악 프로그램은 학교뿐만 아니라 학교 밖에서 이루어지는 다양한 프로그램에 모범적인 모델을 제시하여 아동과 청소년을 대상으로 질 높은 문화예술 프로그램 개발을 모색하는 후속 연구를 활성화 시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

Music education plays a critical role in arts education. Music education in schools must confirm the essential value of the music subject, and also should play the role as the art subject based on human educational values. The purpose of this research is to identify human educational values that are helpful in decreasing and preventing school violence, and to develop music programs that build personality and help students acquire these values by means of music education. In order to develop school music programs, research analyzing teacher and student cognition of decreasing and preventing school violence has been preceded. Music programs have been developed in four parts, including choir, musical, music story, and Nanta. Each of these activities conformed to the organizational method of expanding the performer music activity from an individual to a small group, to a big group. In other words, the methodology was based upon enlarging the relationship from ‘I’ to ‘you and I’, ‘us’, and ‘all together’. Music programs promote the development of the emotional and social aspects of students through the stability of emotion, an increase in confidence and self-respect, cultivation of sympathy, communication skills, thoughtfulness, and a sense of community. Music programs are expected to contribute to a decrease in school violence and to develop a safe and pleasant school culture.
