교육과정학 연구에 대한 비판적 고찰 :

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 교육과정학 연구 영역을 고찰한 후 이를 검토하여 교육과정과 수업의 연구에 시사점을 제시하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 먼저 교육과정 정의의 다양성 문제를 제기하였고 이에 따른 교육과정학 연구 영역 설정의 어려움을 드러내었다. 또한 교육과정과 수업에 대한 제관점을 역사적 맥락을 통해 살펴보면서 그에 따른 타당성과 한계점을 논의하였다. 교육과정학 연구는 교육과정을 어떻게 규정하느냐, 그리고 수업과의 관계를 어떻게 설정하느냐에 따라 그 관심의 대상이 달라질 수 있다. 연구의 결과 교육과정과 수업의 관계를 개념상으로는 분리하여 논의할 수 있지만 교육의 실제에서는 문서로서의 계획을 교육 활동으로 전환하는 연속선상에서 파악하는 것이 필요함을 밝혔다. 이러한 관점을 수용할 경우 교육과정학 연구 영역은 다양한 탐구영역 확보가 가능할 것이며 교육과정학의 정체성 확립에도 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이라고 생각된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to represent the suggestion about the relationship between curriculum and instruction through reviewing the field of curriculum studies. First, researcher considered the numerous definitions of curriculum and showed the difficulties of defining the boundaries in curriculum studies. And also addressed the validities and limitations of its perspectives investigating the various results of studies about relationships between curriculum and instruction which is included the historical and present contexts. It can be inferred that curriculum studies have too many fields depending on the way how to define the curriculum and how to design the relationship between curriculum and instruction. The result of this study is as follow. Regarding the curriculum and instruction, it can be argued that these relationship may be divided in concept but it is rather asked in practice as a procedural transformation of planning into educational activities. This study concluded that if researchers agree on this perspective, they may expand the boundaries of curriculum studies as well as help making its identification.
