유아의 도치 문제해결 능력 발달에 대한 연구

국문 초록

도치 원리는 복잡한 계산적 과정을 최소화함으로써 규칙적 계산과 문제해결을 촉진하고, 해결의 정확성과 속도를 향상시킨다. 따라서 유아의 도치 문제해결 능력이 연령, 숫자 크기, 문제 유형에 따라 어떻게 나타나는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 만 4, 5세 유아 45명을 연구대상으로 선정한 후 2015년 8월 5일부터 9월 4일까지 개인 면담을 실시하여 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연령에 따른 도치 문제해결 능력에서 4세 유아가 5세 유아보다 도치 문제를 더 잘 해결하였다. 또한, 4세 유아는 5세 유아보다 계산 전략보다 도치 전략을 선호하였다. 둘째, 수 크기에 따른 연령별 도치 문제해결 능력에서 계산 전략은 4, 5세 유아 간 차이가 없었으며, 계산 전략을 작은 수 도치 문제에서 많이 사용하였다. 특히 도치 전략은 큰 수 문제에서 5세 유아보다 4세 유아에게서 많이 나타났다. 셋째, 문제 유형에 따른 연령별 도치 문제해결 능력에서 4세 유아가 5세 유아보다 a+b-b 문제 유형에서 도치 전략을 더 많이 사용하였다. 본 연구결과에 따르면 4세 유아는 도치 문제를 일관성 있게 해결하였으며, 유아에게 도치 문제 제공시 수의 크기를 고려해야 함을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

Inversion principle can facilitate problem solving and routine computation by minimizing computational processes and increasing both solution accuracy and speed. This study was investigated on how child appear inversion ability by ages, number-size, problem types. The participants were four and five years old 45 kindergarten children and the data were collected by individual interview on August 5th until September 4th, 2015. The results were as follows. Firstly, it was significant difference child’s inversion strategy between four and five years old. Four years old children were more accurate in inversion ability. Secondly, it was no significant difference child’s computation strategy by age and child’s computation strategy was more appeared small size inversion problem. Four years old children more used inversion strategy than five years old children in big size inversion problem. Thirdly, Four years old children more used inversion strategy in a+b-b problem type than five years old children. According to the results, four years old children consistently solved in inversion problems, number size might be considered to provide children s number activities.
