초등환경교재를 활용한 학습자료 개발 및 적용 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 저학년 환경교재인 ‘환경이야기가 샘솟아요’를 활용한 통합교과용 학습자료를 개발하고 그 효과성을 검증하였다. 2009 개정교육과정에 맞춰 개발된 ‘환경이야기가 샘솟아요!’ 교재를 2014년 국가 수준 환경교육 기준에 따라 분석한 다음, 통합교과 주제 교과서의 관련 단원과 연계성 분석으로 수업주제를 선정하여 초등학교 저학년 통합교과 수업을 위한 학습자료를 개발하였다. 개발한 학습자료는 서울시 소재 초등학교 2학년 1개 반을 대상으로, 사전ㆍ사후 단일집단 설계를 통하여 12주(2015년 3월∼5월)에 걸쳐 통합교과 시간에 적용하였다. 환경감수성의 사전·사후검사 결과를 비교한 결과, 개발된 초등환경교재 ‘환경이야기가 샘솟아요!’를 활용 한 통합교과용 학습자료는 환경감수성 함양에 긍정적인 기여를 한 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서 개발된 학습자료는 초등학교에서 별도의 시간을 마련하지 않고 교과와 연계하여 통합적이고 지속적인 환경교육이 이루어지도록 하였다는 점에서 의미가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develop the integrated subject learning materials using the elementary environmental teaching material ‘Environmental Story is Welling Up!’, and to investigate the influence on the environmental sensitivity of 2nd graders in an elementary school located in Seoul. The developed learning materials applied to integrated curriculum class for 12 weeks(March 2015∼May) in accordance with one-group pretest-posttest. The results are as follows. First, as the result of analysis by the national standard for environmental education, ‘Environmental Story is Welling Up!’ contained a lot of esthetic sense, sensitivity, value, attitude and participation in domains of objectives. And the teaching material contained a lot of environmental problem, human activity and environment, and environmental sensitivity/ consideration in terms of contents. Second, as a result of compared pretest-posttest, the integrated subject learning materials using elementary environmental teaching material have a positive effect in the students´ environmental sensitivity. In conclusion the integrated subject learning materials have a positive effect on 2nd grade students´ environmental sensitivity. Also, it is a meaningful study that the learning materials are conducted as an integrated and sustainable environmental education in curriculum.
