국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 ‘윤리적 소비’ 개념을 보다 정확하게 파악하고, 여기에 기초하여 『생활과 윤리』 과목 내 윤리적 소비 관련 내용에 대한 개선 방안을 제시하려는 것이 다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 먼저 윤리적 소비의 개념과 윤리적 소비자의 특징에 대해 살펴보았다. 윤리적 소비는 다양한 방식으로 정의(定義)되지만, 그 중심에는 소 비행동에서 유념해야 할 윤리적 기준과 소비주체가 지녀야만 하는 광범위한 책임의 식이 자리하고 있다. 또한 윤리적 소비자들은 ‘이타적 책임감’이 강하고, 윤리적 소 비를 통해 ‘행복감’을 느끼며, 외부 사회적 변인들의 영향으로 인해 윤리적 소비를 향한 적극적인 실천 동기가 형성되기도 하고 위축되기도 한다. 이어서 본 연구에서 는 도덕 교과의 역사에서 소비 문제를 어떻게 다루었는지 살펴보고, 현행 『생활과 윤리』 교과서들에 수록된 윤리적 소비에 대한 부분들을 비판적으로 검토하면서 내 용 개선을 위한 제언들을 시도하였다. 첫째, 윤리적 소비 개념의 체계화 및 영역 확 대를 위해 교과서 안에 윤리적 소비와 윤리학적 사고의 긴밀성을 나타내야 한다. 둘 째, 윤리적 소비에 대한 학교급별 교육 내용의 차별화가 이루어져야 한다. 셋째, 윤 리적 소비에 대한 비판적 인식이 가능하도록 교과서를 기술해야 한다.

영문 초록

The objective of this study is to seek for the improvement measures of the contents related to ethical consumption within Life and Ethics subject, by more accurately understanding the concept of ethical consumption currently grabbing attention. First, this paper examined the general concept, occurrence background, relevant ethical position, and its type/category of ethical consumption. Next, this paper examined the characteristics of ethical consumers, focusing on mental state and the external social variables of when ethical consumption is practiced. Lastly, this paper aimed to suggest the improvement measures, by examining how the consumption matter has been treated in the history of moral education, and also critically reviewing the parts of ethical consumption contained in the current Life and Ethics textbook. When writing Life and Ethics textbook, the extension of ethical consumption area and the systematization of contents should be considered, and also the contents should be selected to raise critical perspectives on this concept.
