수학 문제해결에 관한 국내 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 2009년부터 2015년까지 한국연구재단(구 한국학술진흥재단)에 등재 및 등재 후보 된 수학교육 관련 7개의 학술지에 실린 수학 문제해결에 관한 105편의 논문을 연구 시기, 연구 대상, 연구 방법, 연구 주제별로 분석하였다. 2016년 4월부터 6월까지 자료를 수집한 후, 2016년 7월 자료 분석을 통해 결과를 도출하였다. 분석 결과, 수학 문제해결에 관한 연구는 최근 7개년 간 지속적으로 이루어지고 있으며 특히, 2009년 가장 많은 연구가 이루어졌다. 연구 대상으로는 학생을 대상으로 한 연구가 주를 이루었으며, 그중에서도 초등학생을 대상으로 한 연구가 가장 많았다. 연구 방법은 면담, 관찰, 설문지 등을 통한 질적 사례연구가 가장 많이 활용되었고, 연구 주제는 문제해결력을 신장시키는 교수·학습 방법에 관한 연구와 문제해결 과정에서 인지과정 분석에 관한 연구가 비교적 고르게 이루어졌다. 이와 같은 분석 결과를 토대로 수학 문제해결에 관한 추후 연구 방향에 대한 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed 105 research regarding mathematical problem solving papers in seven academic journals in the field of mathematical education that were registered or became candidates of registration from 2009 to 2015 in the National Research Foundation of Korea, in terms of the periods, objects, methods, and subjects of the studies, and aimed to determine the orientation and the implications of the studies by understanding the relevant discussions and trends. The findings suggested that there were continuous studies regarding the mathematical problem solving during the past seven years. In particular, the largest number of studies were conducted in 2009. The objects of the studies were mainly students. More specifically, the largest number of studies were about the elementary school students, followed by high school students and middle school students. In terms of the study methods, qualitative case studies, such as the interview, observation, and survey studies were the most largely used methods. Regarding the study subjects, the studies of teaching and learning methods and the studies of cognitive process analysis during the problem solving process were evenly distributed, and it seems that additional studies should be done in terms of the assessment methods of problem solving education. Based on these results of analysis, this study aims to suggest implications to the orientation of the succeeding studies of mathematical problem solving
