병원간호사의 대학원 진학 요구 및 실태 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 병원간호사의 대학원 진학에 대한 요구 및 실태를 파악하는 것이다. 연구대상은 P시 소재 병원급 이상 의료기관에 재직 중인 간호사 중 300명을 임의표집하였으며 자료수집은 2014년 4월 14일부터 4월 28일까지 일반적 특성, 직무 특성, 전공관련 특성, 대학원 진학 관련 특성을 설문조사하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 20.0을 사용하여 빈도분석, 교차분석, t-test, χ2-test하였다. 연구결과는 57.1%가 대 학원 진학이 필요하다고 응답하였으며 70.3%가 대학원 전공으로 간호학을 원하였 고, 대학원 입학시기로는 30.5%가 졸업 후 5년 이후로 응답하였다. 지원동기로는 31.7%가 자격유지와 승진을 들었다. 대학원 선택시 우선사항으로는 66.5%가 원하는 전공이라고 응답하였으며 35.4%가 업무 관련 핵심기술 및 이론에 대한 수업을 원한다고 하였다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 간호학 대학원에서는 학문적 연구와 더불어 학생들의 현실적 요구를 부합시킬 수 있도록 계속 교육 형태의 교과과정을 개발할 것을 제안한다.

영문 초록

This study evaluated the needs for entry into graduate school, as perceived by hospital nurses. A self-report instrument was used to measure general characteristics and characteristics related to entrance into graduate school. The questionnaires were completed by 300 nurses. The data were collected from April 14 to April 28,, 2014 and subsequently analyzed through frequencies, the Chi-squared test, and analysis of variance, using the SPSS 20.0 program. Fifty-seven percent of the participants thought that entrance into graduate school is necessary. Moreover, with regard to graduate school of choice, 70.3% of the participants selected “Nursing” and 30.5% selected “More than five years after graduation” as the ideal time for enrolling in graduate school. With regard to motivation to apply to graduate school, 31.7% of the respondents cited “Qualification maintenance and promotion.” With regard to the priority given to school selection, 66.5% of the respondents answered, “major,” and 66.5% wanted a course related to core skills and theories. Therefore, in order to meet students’ practical needs, nursing curriculum in graduate school should comprise a continuing education component, in addition to academic research.
