노인들의 여가제약이 여가만족 및 삶의 행복감에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 최근 노인인구의 급속한 증가로 인해 고령화 사회로 진입함에 따라 인구의 다수를 차지하고 있는 노인인구의 행복한 삶의 조건으로서의 노인여가에 대한 연구로, 노인들의 여가가 그들이 인지하는 행복한 삶에 유의한 영향을 미치는지, 그리고 노인들의 여가 참여에 있어 제약이 되는 요인들은 어떠한 것들이 있는지를 파악하고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 노인들의 여가참여 제약요인으로 내재적 제약, 외재적 제약, 경제적 제약, 그리고 구조적 제약의 네 개의 요인이 추출되었으며, 이 요인들은 여가 만족 및 노인들이 인지하는 삶의 행복감에 각각 다른 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 분석 결과에 따르면, 내재적 요인과 외재적 요인이 여가만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 삶의 행복감에 있어서는 구조적 요인만이 직접적인 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 여가 만족이 삶의 행복감에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과 직접적인 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구의 결과를 통해 점차 인구 구성에 있어 가장 큰 집단을 차지하고 있는 노인인구의 행복한 삶의 조건으로서 여가의 중요성을 확인하였으며, 향후 노인들의 여가 참여에 제약이 되는 문제들을 해결하고 여가만족을 높임으로써 그들이 행복한 삶을 영위할 수 있게 하는 정책 제안을 위한 근거 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

As the country is rapidly moving toward an aged society with the elderly population rising sharply, it is necessary to study on happiness of life for the elderly. The purpose of this study is to investigate if the leisure activity is a key factor for happiness of life for the elderly and what are the constraints for participating in leisure activity. From the results of factor analysis, leisure constraints for the elderly were identified as 4 factors: External, Internal, Economic, and Infra Constraints, and it is revealed that these constraints influence differently on leisure satisfaction and the happiness of life. The results of structural equation model, Internal and External constraints significantly influence on leisure satisfaction, and Infra constraints affect on happiness of life. It is revealed that th leisure satisfaction influence on their perception of happiness of life for the elderly. The results indicated that the elderly who are satisfied with their leisure activity feel happiness on their lives, which means that it is necessary to figure out the constraints for participating in leisure activity and to resolve them.
