의료사회복지사의 직무 실태와 활동 수가 현황

국문 초록

본 연구는 의료사회복지사의 개별 활동 및 활동 수가에 대한 현황을 파악하고 문제점을 확인한 후, 향후 의료사회복지사가 환자 개입에 따른 적정 수가를 받을 수 있도록 하기 위한 방안 모색을 목적으로 하고 있다. 본 연구를 위해 대한의료사회복지사협회 소속 병원을 대상으로 의료사회복지사 활동에 관한 설문조사를 수행했다. 또한, 현재 의료사회복지 활동 수가를 통한 건강보험 재정 소요를 확인하기 위해 의료사회복지 고유 수가의 청구량과 금액에 대한 정보를 확보한 후, 각병원 및 1인당 의료사회복지사가 어느 정도의 수가를 청구하는지 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통해 현재 의료사회복지사는 정신건강의학과와 재활의학과를 포함한 거의 모든 임상과에 개입하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 한 명의 의료사회복지사가 한 달에 보험을 청구하는 건수는 약 12건인 반면, 한명의 의료사회복지사가 한 달에 개입하는 신환 수는 33명, 상담건수는 101건인 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 전체 상담 건수의 약 12% 정도에 한해서만 보험을 청구하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 현재 의료사회복지 활동 수가의 문제점을 제시하고, 향후 활동 수가를 개선하기 위한 전략들을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The current study was to identify the status of individual works for social workers in medical settings, and of insurance fees for social work activities, and to suggest how insurance fees for social work activities could be appropriately charged after the interventions of medical social workers for patients. The survey data regarding activities of medical social workers who are enrolled in the association of medical social workers, and frequencies and costs of insurance which were charged for social work activities were obtained. Then, how many insurance fees were charged for a hospital and a social worker were calculated. Findings showed that medical social workers are intervening for patients who are referred from most departments including psychiatries and rehabilitation medicine. A medical social worker is charging insurance fees for approximately 12 patients, meeting with 33 new patients in a month, and counseling with 101 patients in total in a month. Thus, approximately 12% of all patients who are working with social workers were charged. The current study suggested problems of insurance systems for social work activities, and strategies to improve social work activities in the future.
