예비유아교사들의 전공교과 연계형 강의를 통한 학습공동체인 코호트(cohort) 경험 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 예비유아교사교육에서 전공교과 연계형 강의를 통한 학습공동체인 코호트(cohort) 경험을 하면서 겪은 연구 참여자들의 과정 및 결과 탐색을 목적으로 하였다. 연구 참여자는 2017학년도 1학기 영유아교수법과 유아교과교재 및 연구법을 연계하여 동시에 수강하는 S대학교의 유아교육과 3학년 학생 29명이다. 예비유아교사들은 모의수업 시연 및 수업시연을 위한 교과교재 제작 연구 활동을 연계형 강의로 수강하며 코호트 활동을 통한 수업시연 및 촬영, 평가 및 피드백, 수업반성, 수정 및 재수업 시연 등을 실행하였다. 연구 결과는 ‘협력: 종이의 네 귀 바르게 들기’, ‘성장: 삼밭의 쑥대’, ‘다짐: 구슬이 서 말이라도 꿰어야 보배’라는 3가지 범주로 나타났다. 예비유아교사들은 전공교과 연계형 강의에서의 코호트 경험을 통해 첫째, 모의 수업시연을 위한 깊은 고민과 토론을 하며 준비하는 협력적 태도를 가지게 되었다. 둘째, 부족함을 채우며 함께 문제해결 하여 거듭나는 성장 과정을 경험하였다. 셋째, 반성적인 교사로서의 발달 가능성을 스스로 찾게 되어 이를 다짐하는 것을 코호트 활동의 주요 의미로 보았다.

영문 초록

This study intends to explore the process and outcome which study participants experienced in taking part in the cohort, a learning community through the linked-courses in early childhood education major. The participants are a total of 29 juniors of the Department of Early Childhood Education at S University, who are simultaneously taking a class for early-childhood teaching methods and a class for early-childhood teaching materials and research methods in a linked manner in the first semester of 2017. Pre-service early childhood teachers performed class reflection, correction, and demonstrative class repetition through demonstrative class/photographing, evaluation/feedback, and cohort activities, while they are taking, as a linked lecture, a class for demonstrative class and research activities on subject materials production for demonstrative class. The researchers analyzed the images of demonstrative classes and classes repeated, the journal of class reflection, class portfolio, focus group consultation through cohort experiences based on the research notes. The findings of this study can be summarized into three categories: ‘Cooperation: Lifting the four edges of paper rightly,’ ‘Growth: Mugwort stalks in a hemp patch,’ and ‘Realization: Nothing is complete unless you put it in final shape.’ Through their cohort experiences in the linked-courses in early childhood education major, the pre-service early childhood teachers were able to achieve the followings: First, they came to have a cooperative attitude as they sincerely and deliberately sought to identify the best way for demonstrating a simulated class and have a discussion regarding it. Second, they went through the growth process in which they were reborn as they made up for their shortcomings and worked together to resolve problems. Third, they realized that they succeeded in finding their development possibility as a reflective teacher.
