초등교사의 현악기 지도능력 향상을 위한 ‘놀이로 배우는 첼로’ 지도 방안 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등교사들이 ‘놀이로 배우는 첼로’ 프로그램의 지도 방법을 배우는 과정에서 보여주는 반응과 그 교육적 의미를 분석해 보고자 하였다. 교사들의 반응, 설문, 면담 등의 자료를 질적인 방법으로 분석하였다. 프로그램의 구성을 위하여 문헌연구, 프로그램 시안 구성 및 검토 단계를 거쳐 프로그램의 목표, 내용 및 조직, 교수·학습 방법 및 절차, 연주 후 평가의 과정을 거쳤다. 본 교사교육 프로그램의 적용을 위해 교육청 연수에 참여한 교사 11명 중 초등교사 7명을 연구 대상으로 선정 하여 2017년 4월 12일부터 2017년 5월 17일까지 매주 3시간씩 총 5회의 수업을 진행 하였다. 연구 결과에 따르면 교사들은 본 프로그램을 통해 음악활동에 대한 두려움 극복, 연주 성취감, ‘놀이로 배우는 첼로’ 지도 가능성 확인 등을 경험하는 것으로 나타났다. 아울러 학생들에게 현악기를 가르치는 효과적인 방법을 학습하여 향후 현장에서 음악활동을 개선하고자 하는 동기가 높아졌으며 자신감도 고양되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 학교현장에서 현악기 지도 장면에 대한 추가 연구를 통해서 교사 교육의 효과가 구체적으로 어떻게 구현되는지 확인해 볼 필요가 있을 것으로 판단된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the reactions from elementary school teachers’ experience of Learning Cello through Play teaching program and its meaning in educational context. The teachers’ reactions, answers to questionnaires, and interviews, among others, were analyzed qualitatively. The teacher education program’s objectives and goals, educational contents and organization, teaching and learning methods and procedures, and after-performance evaluation were configured based on a process of documents research, and program configuration and review. In order to verify the effectiveness of the teacher education program, of the 11 teachers who registered and participated through the Department of Education’s training program, 7were selected for the study, and five three-hour sessions were held once every week from April 12, 2017 to May 17, 2017. Results of the study revealed that, through this program, the teachers experienced overcoming fear of musical activity, fulfilling their objectives of performing, and confirmation of the teaching possibilities of learning cello through play. Additionally, the teachers showed an increase in their confidence as well as their willingness to improve the musical program in the field based on their assessment of the effectiveness of the string instrument program. Future studies on the implementation of string instrument instructions in class settings will be necessary to verify how the effects of such teacher training can be realized.
