초등학생이 지각하는 정서조절능력과 정신건강의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 고학년 학생이 지각하는 정서조절능력과 정신건강의 관계에서 자아탄력성의 매개효과를 살펴보는데 주된 목적이 있는 실증적 조사연구이다. 이를 위하여 2016년 5월에 시작하여 2주간 동안 충북 C시에 소재한 초등학교 5학년과 6학년 학생 391명을 대상으로 하여 정서조절능력 척도, 정신건강 척도, 자아탄력성 척도 설문지를 실시하였다. 정서조절능력, 자아탄력성, 정신건강의 관계를 살펴보기 위해 상관분석을, 자아탄력성의 매개효과를 알아보기 위하여 Baron과 Kenny(1986)가 제안한 매개효과 분석단계에 따라 순차적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 첫째, 정서조절능력은 정신건강에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고, 자아탄력성 역시 정신건강에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 정서조절능력이 정신건강에 미치는 영향에서 자아탄력성의 매개효과는 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 정서조절능력과 정신건강 관계에서 자아탄력성의 하위요인으로 포함된 감정통제와 낙관성의 부분매개효과는 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 초등학교 고학년 학생의 정서조절능력과 정신건강 관계에서 자아탄력성이 매개효과를 나타낸다는 본 연구의 결과는 초등학생의 효과적인 정신건강 함양을 위해서, 개인 내적특성이며, 보호요인인 자아탄력성과 상황을 고려한 프로그램 개발방안이 필요함을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to investigate the meditating effect of resilience in relationship between emotional regulation competence and mental health of elementary school students. In order to achieve the purpose of this research. total 391 students from C elementary school located in Cheongju were sampled. Instruments used in the study were as follows: resilience scale, emotional regulation competence scale, mental health scale. Based on the results of this study, the major findings were as follows: First, there were statistically significant correlation among in resilience, emotional regulation competence, mental health. Second, there were a mediation effect of resilience on relationship between emotional regulation and mental health turned out be significant. In particular, a partial mediation effect of emotional control, Optimistic on relationship between emotional regulation and mental health turned out be significant.
