유아교사들의 수업비평 경험

국문 초록

본 연구는 수업비평을 접하고 수행해 본 유아교사들의 경험을 탐색하였다. C 대 학원 수업을 통해 수업비평을 경험한 6명의 교사들과 면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 연구 결과 참여교사들은 수업비평 과정을 통해 수업을 평가적 관점에서 보는 것 에서 벗어날 수 있었으며, 수업비평을 수업 이해와 해석의 한 방법으로 인식하게 되었음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 수업에 대한 관점의 변화는 유아를 바라보는 인식 변화에도 긍정적으로 작용하였다. 그러나 많은 시간과 노력을 요하는 전사 및 비평 과정과 자신의 의견을 정리해서 드러내야 하는 비평적 글쓰기는 유아교사들에게 큰 부담으로 다가오기도 하였다. 수업의 대안점을 찾는 것 역시 그 중요성을 강조하면서도 쉽지 않은 작업임을 이야기하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 수업비평의 장점을 살리고 유아교육기관의 특성을 반영할 수 있는 수업비평의 적용 방법 개발과 개선 방향에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study explored early childhood teachers experiences of criticism of classroom instruction. 6 teachers w ho experienced the process of criticism of classroom instruction in a graduate course in C university participated in the study. Data w ere collected through individual intervie w s w ith the teachers. As results of the data analysis, several findings w ere emerged. The participants initially thought the criticism of classroom instruction as a kind of evaluation process. By experiencing the process of the criticism of classroom instruction, ho w ever, they ackno w ledged it as interpreting and understanding w ays of classroom activities. It also w orked for their vie w s on children positively. The burden they had to have w as time devoting to transcribe classroom activities as w ell as opening their classrooms to other teachers. W riting criticism w as another difficulty for them. They felt to hard to look for alternatives of classroom activities, but highly valued the part. Since the criticism of classroom instruction w as valuable to cultivate the participants expertise, it w as suggested to develop diverse and convenient w ays of criticism of classroom instruction.
