국문 초록
日本は1910年代から東京を中心に近代化が始まったが、関東大震災(1923年)により東京が崩壊する。しかし、東京は帝都復興事業(1924-1930年)の推進によって近代の新しい都市として再生する。津軽で生まれた太宰治は1930年、上京して生涯創作をし、1948年そこで死ぬのである。したがって、西洋の近代藝術に傾倒した太宰治と西欧文明の東京とは不可分の関係に見えるため、本稿では「太宰治と都市東京」に続いて、太宰治の文学と東京美学に関する考察を試みた。
太宰治にとって、近代の価値観を確立させた空間である東京は、生命と創作のエネルギー源であり、‘虚栄’を象徴する。この‘虚栄’は、‘美’以外には何ものも価値がないという彼の‘芸術美学’と共通するのである。これを‘虚栄の美学’とするならば、裏に退廃と悪を有するが、美しさだけを誇る東京、すなわち、華やかな‘人工の美’と‘無用の美’を誇る東京は、太宰治にとって‘虚栄の美学’の空間であり、想像力の空間である。したがって、西洋化された都市である東京は、太宰治の芸術美学の空間である。
영문 초록
The modernization in Tokyo, Japan have been stared its modernization since 1910, and it became a new modern city because of the system reconstruction movement(1924-1930). Dazai Osamu, who was born in Tsugaru, came up to Tokyo in 1930, created his art, and then his life ended there in 1948. Therefore, Dazai, who concentrated into Western art, was related to the modern Tokyo, so this study was to investigate his literature and aesthetics of Tokyo, following 「Dazai Osamu and Tokyo City」.
From the result of this research above, it may be summed up as follows.
Dazai symbolized Tokyo as space which made the modern values established as ‘Vanity’. This ‘Vanity’ had a thread of connection with his ‘Aesthetics of Art’ that was of no value anymore but ‘Beauty’. Tokyo where to boast ‘Beauty of Human Art’ and ‘Beauty of Futility’ was space for him as well as ‘Space of Imagination’.
To conclude, Tokyo as westernized city is Dazai’s space of aesthetic art.
