영문 초록

Introduction to Thyroid Gland -Thyroid gland is one of the largest endocrine organ which produces thyroxine and triiodothyronine -Thyroid hormones play a critical role in cell differentiation, thermogenesis, and metabolic homeostasis -Thyroid hormones are regulated by thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) which is produced from anterior pituiary gland -Thyroid hormones and TSH forms the negative feed back loop of the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis -Autoimmune disorder of thyroid gland can cause glandular destruction and hormone deficiency (Hypothyroidism) -The major auto-antibody for hypothyroidism is anti-thyroid peroxidase antibody (anti-TPO Ab)
