영문 초록
The surgical ciliated cyst of the maxilla develops after surgical entry into the maxillary sinus, usually a Caldwell-Luc operation.
The authors analized 10 cases clinically which was diagnosed as surgical ciliated cyst in CNUH. dental dept. during 20 months (1983.8 - 1984.2)
The obtained results were as follows:
1. The sixty percent of cases occur between the age of 40 and 49 years.
2. The right side of maxilla was more frequently affected than the left side.
3. Initial radical operation of the maxillary sinuses were performed mainly between the age of 11 to 20 years.
4. The duration between the initial operation and the onset of cyst was mainly from 11 to 20 years.
5. Discomfort or swelling in involved side of maxilla, toothache, pus discharge were most frequent chief complaints.
6. Maxillary sinus is involved in 4 cases.
