영문 초록

The authors studied the nature of oro-antral fistula to obtain some useful for diagnosis and treatment plan. Study materials used were 14 patients with oro-antral fistula treated at the Dept. of Oral Surgery, Kyung Hee University Medical Center. Data including sex, site, age, chief complaints, etiology, causing teeth, x-ray findings and treatment method were collected and analyzed. The results were as follow; 1. The main etiologic factor of oro-antral fistula was pathologic 79%, and upper right and left 1st molars 50% were most frequently involved. 2. The sexual prevalence was nearly the same, and the occurence incidence of right sode 71% was higher than that of left side. 3. Oro-antral fistula was most commonly found during the age of 30 s (50%). 4. Nasal discharge 35.7% was most frequent clinical finding. Air leakage, halitosis, intraoral swelling, tenderness and headache were the next frequent chief complaints in sequence.
