영문 초록
This is to report a case of adenoid cystic carcinoma (cylindroma) which involved the parotid gland of a 55-year-old female.
The findings and results were as follows;
1. The tumor had grown for over 20 years to egg size, as large as 6×4×3㎝.
2. Cellular malignancy was not so remarkable, but the Swiss-cheese Appearance with tubular and cribriform pattern was seen microscopically.
3. Until now, 3 years after surgical excision, she is living well without any evidence of local recurrence or distant metastasis.
4. Reviewing a large series of these tumors, careful follow-up examination is recommended for the lifetime of the patient to discover delayed recurrence and/or metastasis.
