영문 초록

Squamous cell carcinoma is the most common malignant tumor of oral cavity, representing a little over 90% of all malignancies. Clinically squamous cell carcinoma tends to remain localized infiltration or spread by way of cervical lymph node and relatively rare distant metastasis. Treatment plan that utilized either surgery or radiation therapy (loco-regional therapy) as a single modality was main method. Recently CPDD showed activity against recurrent head and neck tumors, a multi-modality rationale developed to employ combination therapy in conjunction with radiotherapy and surgery. This report dealed with 2 cases of squamous cell carcinoma used multi-modality programe that was treated at Pusan Paik Hospital. The one was combination of pre and post operative chemotherapy and surgical resection with functional neck dissection, and the other was combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
