영문 초록

This study aimed to analyze the operating statuses of cold storage facilities provided for the purpose of farmers’ income increase and to determine the factors that affected farmers’ storage and sales decision-making in stored apple. Friedman test, Wilcoxon test, and Mann-Whitney U test were performed to determine the relative importance for the decision-making in apple storage and sales timing. Results showed that farmers with storage facilities stored most products produced for the year but the operation ratio of storage facilities varied according to farmers and storage types. Factors that affected farmers’ storage decision-making included sales prices on harvesting or future sales point, sales practice from the past, and products storable at harvest time. In addition, sales price is the most important factor that affected farmers’ sales decision-making for stored apple while storage cost and physical loss ratio during the storage period had relatively less importance.
