영문 초록

Economic validity of public projects requires all the effects of a project need to be taken into account. When several effects are the variation of quantity/ quality of nonmarket goods induced by the project, economic valuation of the nonmarket goods is essential. Ma-Dong project includes constructing a seawall to secure fresh water for irrigation. However, the local tideland around Goseong area will be submerged by this project. This study tried to estimate the value of this local tideland using CVM. Logit model and Turnbull model were applied to survey data which include bid value and other socioeconomic variables of 381 local respondents. The annual economic value of the Goseong tideland is estimated to be about 2,130 million won to 2,470 million won.
