노인 죽음태도에 영향을 주는 변인에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 노인들의 인구학적 특성과 죽음 준비가 죽음태도에 어떤 영향을 미치는 지를 분석하였다. 연구대상은 용인시 및 오산시에 소재한 노인복지관을 이용하는 노인들을 대상으로 총 228부를 최종 분석하였다. 연구결과, 인구학적 특성들 중 경제 상태, 건강상태, 일상생활 생활 여부와 삶의 만족도는 죽음 태도에 정의 관계로 나타났다. 즉 경제상태가 풍족할수록, 건강할수록 생활만족도가 높을수록 죽음태도는 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다. 죽음준비 하위 변인들과 죽음 태도와 관계에서는 죽음을 받아들이는 준비가 될수록 죽음에 대한 태도는 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다. 또한 영정사진 및 장례유형을 미리 결정 할수록 죽음에 대한 태도는 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 토대로 죽음교육에 대한 사회복지 실천적 함의를 제공하였다.

영문 초록

This research analyzed about what kind of influence the elder s demographical characteristic and death preparation can effect on their attitude towards death. The subjects of this study are elders who were using senior welfare centers in the province of Yong-in and Osan, and in total 228 copies were the final analysis. Research results came out, and among the demographical results the economical condition, health condition, every day life, and life satisfaction appeared to have a justice relation with the attitude of death. In other words, the greater the economical condition, health condition is and the higher the life satisfaction is, people s attitude towards death became more positive. Moreover, inside the relationship between the lower factors of death preparation and the attitude of death, if the individuals are prepared to accept their death, their attitude of death came out to be positive. Also, the faster the individuals prepare his or her funeral picture and type of funeral they prefer, their attitude towards death was positive. In reference to the results, this research provides a welfare practice implication about death education.
