국문 초록

본 연구는 대학특성 및 개인특성 요인이 대학생활적응과 진로결정수준에 미치는 영향을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여, 2015년 4월부터 6월까지 서울, 경기, 충남지역 소재 4년제 대학교 3곳에서 재학생 282명(남 161명, 여 121명)의 자료를 분석에 사용하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 대학환경 및 개인특성은 대학생활적응에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있었으며, 특히, 교수 및 교육성과 요인과 신경증, 성실성 및 적극성 요인이 대학생활적응과 관련이 깊은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대학환경 및 개인특성은 진로결정수준에 영향을 미치고 있었는데, 대학환경에서는 교수와 대학의 교육여건 및 교육성과가, 개인특성에서는 신경증과 성실성 요인이 관련이 깊은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 대학환경 중에서 ‘대학의 행정체제’ 요인은 대학생활적응과 진로결정수준 모두에서 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통하여 대학환경과 개인특성은 대학생의 학교생활적응력 제고뿐만 아니라 진로결정수준 향상에도 유의하게 작용하고 있으며, 진로결정수준보다는 대학생활적응에 더 많은 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이로써, 대학은 학생들의 학교생활적응이 진로결정에 선행하는 이슈임을 인지하고 지도할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships among college environment, personality traits, college students’ adjustment and career decision level. The sample for this study is 282 college students(male: 161, female: 121) from three universities in Seoul, Kyung-gi province, and Chung-chung province in Kore from April to June in 2015. The conclusions that resulted from data analysis is as follows: First, there are significant relationships of college environment and personality trait on college students’ adjustment. Especially, professor and educational outcomes factors of college environment and neuroticism, conscientiousness, extraversion, and openness to experience factors of personality traits are more related to college students’ adjustment. Second, there are significant relationships of college environment and personality trait on career decision level. In detail, educational condition and educational outcomes factors of college environment and neuroticism and conscientiousness factors of personality traits are more related to career decision level. But, educational administration factor does not have an effect both on college students’ adjustment and career decision level. In sum, this study indicates that college environment and personal traits influence both on college students’ adjustment and career decision level. And they affect more on college students’ adjustment than career decision level.
