유아기 자녀를 둔 유아교육기관 관리자가 인식하는 부모 및 부모와의 관계와 실천 노력

국문 초록

본 연구는 현재 유아기 자녀를 둔 부모이며, 유아교육기관 관리자로서의 역할을 모두 수행하고 있는 연구참여자를 대상으로 그들의 목소리를 통해서, 그들이 부모및 부모와의 관계에 대해서 어떻게 인식하는지, 그리고 부모와의 관계를 향상시키기 위해서 실제적으로 어떠한 노력을 하였는지에 대해서 들어보았다. 이를 위하여 8명의 유아기 자녀를 둔 유아교육기관 관리자를 대상으로 질적 연구방법을 설계하여 개별면담을 실시하였으며, 총 14회의 면담 전사자료 및 연구자 저널, 기타 관련 자료를 수집하여 그 내용을 분석하였다. 첫째, 유아기 자녀를 둔 유아교육기관 관리자들은 부모 및 부모와의 관계에 대해서 부모의 눈으로 돌봄을 다시 보고, 아이를 둘러싼 육아 환경을 재인식하며, 자연적인 배려를 통해 친밀한 공감을 나타내고 있었다. 둘째, 유아기 자녀를 둔 유아교육기관 관리자들은 부모와의 관계를 향상시키기 위해서 기관 내 부모-교사 간 원활한 관계 확산을 유도하고, 부모의 반성적 육아토대 마련에 주력하며, ‘아래로부터’의 부모 참여 실현을 새롭게 추진하고자 하였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 자녀를 육아중인 현직교사의 처우개선과 부모를 이해하고자 하는 태도를 양성하기 위한 유아교사교육 분야에 시사점을 준다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the awareness of the selected subjects, who were performing double roles as parents of children in early childhood and administrators of early childhood educational institutions, about parents and relationship with them and their efforts for the improvement of this relationship. The subjects in this study were eight administrators of early childhood educational institutions. The selected administrators were raising their children who were in early childhood. A qualitative research method was designed to have individual interviews with them. The transcribed data of the interviews of 14 sessions, this researcher s journal and other related data were gathered, and the collected data were analyzed. The findings of the study were as follows: As for parents and relationship with them, the administrators whose children were in early childhood looked at caring from the perspectives of parents, had a new understanding of parenting environments around children and openly communicated with parents. Second, the administrators informed their fellow teachers of the position of parents to help them to improve their relationship with parents, and they put their energy into providing more opportunities for parent involvement and intended to do something to satisfy their diverse needs. The findings of the study have some implications for the improvement of treatment for teachers who are raising their children and for how to offer early childhood teacher education for teachers to understand parents.
