다문화가정 자녀의 학교생활적응을 위한 예비학부모 역량강화 프로그램 개발 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 자녀의 초등학교 진학을 앞둔 다문화가정의 학부모들이 자녀의 학교생활을 효과적으로 지원할 수 있도록 학부모들의 역량강화를 위한 예비학부모 교육프로그램을 개발하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 충남도 내 초등학교 재학 중인 다문화가정의 학부모와 교사들을 대상으로 심층면접조사를 실시하였다. 조사결과 다문화가정 자녀들은 이해력 부족, 수업준비의 어려움 등 학습수행과정에서 어려움을 겪고 있었으며 또래집단과의 관계에서 편견과 정체성 혼란을 경험하는 경우가 많았다. 학부모들은 한국의 학교교육에 대한 지식 및 정보의 부족과 교사 및 학부모와의 관계형성에서 어려움을 겪고 있었다. 이에 본 연구는 다문화가정의 예비학부모들을 대상으로 초등학교 교육체계에 대한 이해, 자녀학습 및 학교생활 관리, 부모역할 역량강화, 다양한 자녀문제 등의 영역에 대한 학부모 역량강화 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 프로그램이 현장에서 보다 효율적으로 활성화되기 위해서는 교사들의 인식개선과 이를 위한 실과교육의 교육과정과 교수법 개발, 다문화 전문가 강사 풀 구성 및 다문화교육 자료개발이 요구된다.

영문 초록

This study purposes to develop an educational program that enables school parents of multi-cultural family to effectively support their children to properly adapt to school life. For this, this paper is based on in-depth interviews on parents of multi-cultural family, who have elementary school children and teachers. The result of the research shows that children of multi-cultural family are lack of learning ability, and they have disability in having well-integrated relationship with colleagues. They also suffer an identity crisis. Their parents have difficulty in guidance because of a lack of communication with the children as well as a basic knowledge on the school life. Therefore, this study develops the education program that enables the school parents to strengthen their roles and responsibility as a guardian and a parent in terms of four different parts, such as understanding about educational system of elementary school, caring for children s study and school life, strengthening the parent s ability, and other problems on their children. To activate this program with effect, such conditions as teachers change of perception, in-depth research on educational resources, and organization of expert instructor should come first.
