국문 초록

본 연구는 한국과 미국 대학생들이 일상적 창의성과 진로 역량 및 진로준비행동에 있어서 어떠한 차이를 보이는지 그리고 일상적 창의성과 진로 역량이 진로준비행동에 어떤 영향을 미치는 지 살펴보았다. 연구 대상은 한국의 경우 대전 광역시의 C 대학교에 재학 중인 남녀 대학생 121명을, 미국의 경우 워싱턴 주 시애틀의 W 대학교에 재학 중인 남녀 대학생 104명을 대상으로 하였으며, 2015년 10월과 11월 설문조사를 실시하였다. t 검증, 상관 및 회귀분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 일상적 창의성과 진로 역량은 미국 대학생들이 한국대학생들에 비해 더 높은 것으로 나타났으며 진로준비 행동은 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 한국과 미국 대학생 모두 일상적 창의성 및 진로 역량이 유의미한 정적 상관이 있었으며, 진로준비행동은 일상적 창의성 및 진로역량과 유의미한 정적 상관이 있었다. 셋째, 한국과 미국 대학생의 진로준비행동이 일상적 창의성과 진로 역량에 의해 얼마나 설명되고 예언될 수 있는지를 알아본 결과 한국 대학생의 경우 진로 역량과 일상적 창의성이 정적 영향력이 있었고, 미국 대학생의 경우 진로 역량만이 정적 영향력이 있었다. 이러한 결과가 대학생 진로 교육에 주는 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the relations among everyday creativity, career competency and career preparation behavior of Korean and American college students. Also, the study explored the differences in those variables between the students of two countries and pursued their implications. Data were collected from 121 Korean students in a college located in D city, Korea and 104 American students in a college located in S city in Washington State, USA. Results from t-test, correlation and regression analyses are as follows. First, the comparisons of mean differences indicated that American college students had higher scores on everyday creativity and career competency than Korean students. But as regards career preparation behavior, there is no mean difference with Korean college students and American college students. Second, for both Korean and American college students, everyday creativity correlated positively with cooperative career competency. In addition, career preparation behavior correlated positively with everyday creativity as well as with career competency. Third, in case of Korean college students, career competency and everyday creativity were the positive predictors of career preparation behavior, while in case of American college students only career competency was the positive predictor of career preparation behavior. These results have significant implication for career education programs to promote career adaptability for Korean college students.
