초등 및 중등 영재학생과 일반학생의 생애역량, 학업소진 및 행복감의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 5, 6학년 영재학생 193명, 일반학생 199명과 중학교 1, 2학년 영재학생 144명, 일반학생 147명, 총 683명을 대상으로 생애역량, 학업소진, 행복감의 차이를 알아보고, 생애역량, 학업소진과 행복감간의 관계를 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 연구결과 첫째, 생애역량은 일반 초중등 학생보다 영재 중학생이, 이 보다는 영재 초등학생이 높게 나타났으며, 학업소진은 그 반대였다. 행복감은 영재학생이 일반학생보다 높았다. 둘째, 생애역량이 높을수록 학업소진이 낮을수록 행복감이 높았다. 단, 일반 초등학생은 학업소진과 행복감 간에 유의한 관계가 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 초중등 영재학생과 중등 일반학생은 생애역량과 학업소진 변인군에 의해 행복감이 유의하게 설명되었으나 초등 일반학생은 생애역량 변인군에 의해서만 행복감이 설명되었다. 본 연구결과가 영재학생과 일반학생의 생애역량, 학업소진, 행복감과 관련하여 어떠한 시사점이 있는가가 논의되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the present study is to find the differences in life competency, academic burnout, and happiness in Gifted and Ordinary Students, and to investigate the relationships among life competency, academic burnout, and happiness. For the study, 337 gifted students and 346 ordinary students participated. The results indicate that there are significant differences and relationship between the gifted and the ordinary elementary and middle school students in all three variables investigated. For elementary and middle school gifted and middle school ordinary group, happiness was explained by the variables of life competency and academic burnout. But ordinary elementary school group’s happiness was explained by academic burnout. Implications of the study related to the gifted and ordinary education were discussed.
