And using a metronome, This study adjusted the moving speeds for a one second climbing. Using an equipment EMG, It measured the muscle activity of
Dominant side leg. The activity of the muscles according to the heel height were analyzed through repeated ANOVA (p<.05).
Results: The activity of the anterior tibialis muscle was increased the higher the heel height, the activity of the gastrocnemius medial part muscle is decreased the higher the heel height (p<.05). The activity of the gastrocnemius lateral part muscle showed no significant different depending on heels heel height.
Conclusion: Though this study, the more the high heels are high, the muscle of the tibialis anterior muscle activity increases, but gastrocnemius medial part muscle activity decreased.
